The proud history of Albion Rovers FC dates back to its establishment in 1969 as Royal Park Soccer Club, founded by members of the Cyprus Turkish Association. In 1985, the club merged with Scottish side Albion Rovers Soccer Club and relocated to Sunshine, Victoria. The amalgamation allowed the club to grow within the local Turkish Cypriot community, eventually leading to a name change to Albion Rovers Turk Gucu Soccer Club.
