Albright Studios was founded in 1940 by Evelyn Albright, a notable figure among the early 'Tivoli Gals'. After her retirement in 1968, Carol Fairy, a highly respected teacher and Comdance examiner, took over the school. Carol was renowned for her commitment to technique and her soft, supportive teaching style. In 2010, she passed away, leaving behind a wish for the school to continue in her honour while maintaining the name 'Albright'.
For nearly 40 years, Leanne Emerson, a student, teacher, and friend of Carol, administered the school, until Tamara Finch became the director in 2012. After a decade of inspiring and mentoring students, Tamara passed down the school to Rebecca Wenig in 2022. Rebecca, Leanne's daughter, is the current owner and director, carrying on the legacy and family history of Albright Studios. The Wenig family has been an integral part of the school for three generations, with Rebecca's grandmother, mother, and herself all contributing their invaluable teaching expertise.
