

Allison Banks is a highly experienced and qualified yoga instructor based in Fredericton. Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Allison discovered yoga in 2002 following an injury of her own. By incorporating yoga into her rehabilitation process, she was able to heal and strengthen her body. She undertook training at the prestigious Nosara Yoga institute in Costa Rica, where she studied Interdisciplinary Yoga. Additionally, Allison holds a degree in Kinesiology and Occupational Therapy and currently practices Occupational Therapy at the Stan Cassidy Rehabilitation Centre, working with individuals with neurological disorders.
With a deep understanding of movement and the ability to adapt to various injuries, Allison is widely recognized for her work with chronic pain patients. She resides in Fredericton with her husband and two daughters, actively participating in activities such as squash, skiing, biking, snowshoeing, and of course, yoga. Through her teaching experience, Allison has developed a passion for sharing the healing benefits of yoga and helping individuals develop body awareness to heal themselves.
