Alternative Fitness is Peterborough's longest running pole dancing studio, opened in 2008. They provide lessons for women of all ages and abilities in a friendly and supportive ladies-only environment. With small class sizes and two instructors in most classes, students can expect ample time on the pole and the highest level of attention and instruction. The studio prides itself on offering superior quality instruction at affordable prices.
Instructor Lucy is certified by Spin City and has seven years of pole dancing experience, including participation in the Miss Scotland pole competition. Owner and instructor Cheryl is certified by the Pole Dance Community and Easy Flexibility, with almost two decades of pole dancing experience. Cheryl opened Alternative Fitness in 2008 and has successfully taught over a thousand women of all ages, shapes, sizes, and fitness levels. She has an impeccable safety record and follows the PDC codes of conduct.
Instructor Rachel, also certified by Spin City, brings seven years of pole dancing experience to the team.
Alternative Fitness offers a range of pole lessons, including the Intro-to-Pole course, which offers a 25% early bird discount. This four-week course is priced at 31. 50 and starts on Wednesday, January 3rd at 8pm, or Wednesday, January 10th at 6pm. Beginner lessons are available on Thursdays from 7-8pm for a weekly booking price of 13.
50 per lesson. Intermediate and advanced lessons are available upon request.
The studio also offers weekly classes like Spin Pole with Lucy on Thursdays at 6pm, suitable for intermediate and above levels. This class is exclusively for members and requires advanced booking and payment. All levels can attend Flexibility/Conditioning classes on Wednesdays at 6pm, and monthly members can attend for free.
Alternative Fitness also hosts workshops periodically, such as the upcoming Floorwork workshop with Rachel (date to be confirmed). These workshops provide the opportunity to learn specific pole dancing techniques and skills.
To ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction, Alternative Fitness has a booking policy in place. Customers agree to the terms upon booking, including a minimum 24-hour cancellation policy for all single classes, including private lessons. Changes and cancellations can be made up to one week before the start of courses/blocks or 24 hours before the start of single classes. After these deadlines, rescheduling or refunds are not available.
A 5% cancellation charge applies to incorrect bookings that require cancelling and refunding.
All fees must be paid in advance of the first lesson, and any remaining fees are due as stated during booking. Attendees without their fees will not receive the service for which payment is due. Irregular attendance and lateness can disrupt the class and hinder progress. PayPal payments include a 5% PayPal charge.
Upon arrival at the studio, all customers are required to register and read and abide by the safety agreement.
Alternative Fitness reserves the right to make changes to the services offered, ensuring they consistently provide exceptional instruction and a welcoming environment.
