Alumni Field

Alumni Field, located at McMaster University in Hamilton, provides a top-notch athletic facility for the McMaster community and surrounding area. Established in 2006 through a generous donation from the McMaster Alumni Association, the artificial soft surface field is a hub for various sports activities and programs. With over 125,000 alumni spread across 125 countries, the McMaster Alumni Association is committed to supporting the university, engaging with alumni and current students, and recognizing alumni achievements.

Situated behind the Smith Gymnasium in the Ivor Wynne Centre on the main McMaster University campus, Alumni Field is a versatile venue used for McMaster lacrosse, field hockey, intramural and club programs, as well as serving as a practice field for McMaster football and soccer teams. A wireless score clock mounted on the north wall of the Ivor Wynne Centre provides convenience for players and spectators during events.

Alumni Field is available for rent to community partners, contributing to the sport tourism strategy of the City of Hamilton. Rental rates are competitive, with options for hourly rentals, full-day rentals, and more. The field hosts a variety of programs, including the ADAPT Program at Pulse, Adventure Education Camps, basketball camps, soccer camps, swim camps, and more.
