Business (Dance Studio Management) Maxine started dancing at the age of 7 and completed all classical ballet examinations up to and including Advanced 1 with Honours and Distinction. She has also completed her Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management and her Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Maxine has been teaching dance for over 10 years and has experience in various dance styles including classical ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, and hip hop. She has trained and performed with various dance companies and has been involved in numerous competitions and performances.

Maxine is passionate about sharing her love for dance with her students and is dedicated to helping them reach their full potential.

AM Dance Company (AMDC) is a dance school located in Murrumbeena, Australia. Led by the talented Principal, April McMahon, AMDC offers a comprehensive dance education that focuses not only on technical skill development but also personal growth and building lifelong friendships.

With nearly 20 years of teaching experience, Miss April brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the studio. Having trained at the renowned Hilda Easton School of Dance in Sydney, she has achieved numerous titles and championships in various dance styles. Miss April has performed in professional shows both domestically and internationally, showcasing her talent in theatrical, ballroom, and latin styles.

In addition to Miss April, the teaching team at AMDC includes experienced and dedicated instructors who specialise in different dance genres. Mia Vissenjoux, with her extensive performance experience and dance industry knowledge, teaches ballet, hip hop, contemporary, tap, and jazz. Alessia Stamatelatos, an accomplished contemporary dancer, is currently undertaking Advanced 1 Cecchetti ballet and excels in jazz. Maxine Regos, with her qualifications and years of teaching experience, focuses on classical ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, and hip hop.

AMDC offers a wide range of classes for students of all ages and levels, from recreational to exam students. The school places a strong emphasis on technique, encouraging students to strive for excellence in their training. However, it is not all about hard work at AMDC. The studio also provides a fun and social environment, fostering a sense of community among its dancers.

Throughout the year, AMDC organises various studio social events, including the Mid-Year Soiree, Movie Night, Team Trip, and Disco Bingo Nights. These events give students the opportunity to bond with their fellow dancers, further enhancing the sense of belonging to the AMDC community.

AMDC also participates in competitions, giving students the chance to showcase their skills and gain performance experience. Miss April, with her expertise and experience as an adjudicator, offers valuable guidance and support to the students during these events.

Miss April is an instructor and State Manager with Happy Feet, a fitness, and movement programme in childcare centres. This allows her to extend her passion for dance and movement to young children outside the studio.
