Wendy Anderson, the organiser behind Anderson Dance Group, has a message for the sports community.

Founded back in 1991, Anderson Dance Group has been a staple in Billericay, Essex. With 25 years under their belt, they’ve been spreading dance joy across Billericay, Basildon, Chelmsford, Wickford, and beyond.

Anderson Dance Group is not just any dance school. It’s a family affair, run by Wendy and David Anderson, who pour their love for dance into each class. The school proudly holds registration with the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA), and Wendy, the principal, also wears the hat of the IDTA Nationwide Representative for the Anglia Area.

Classes are varied and cater to all, from the tiniest of dancers at 2 ½ years old to adults. They cover Ballroom & Latin American, Freestyle Disco, Rock n Roll, Freestyle Slowdance, Street/Breakdance, and Gymnastics. The younger kiddos get to enjoy fun party/disco dances mixed with Ballroom and Latin American syllabus work, while adults can glide through a Waltz, Foxtrot, Cha Cha Cha, or Jive. Levels go from Beginners to Advanced, so everyone’s welcome.

Anderson Dance Group believes in growth. They’ve got an International Dance Teachers Association medallist system to recognise your progress. For those competitive at heart, competition classes are on offer, and trust us, they know their stuff—many students have nabbed trophies at national competitions in Freestyle Disco, Slowdance, Rock n Roll, and Street.
