Anne Gale School of Dance

Anne Gale School of Dance is a renowned dance school located in Luton, New Zealand. With over fifty years of history, the school has established a reputation for providing excellent training in dance for children of all ages. In addition to their main studio in Downs Road, Luton, the school also offers classes in Milton Keynes, Stewartby, and Knowle.

At Anne Gale School of Dance, students enjoy dancing while receiving comprehensive training according to the syllabi of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD). The school teaches a diverse range of dance styles, including Ballet, Modern, Tap, National, Greek, Commercial Hip Hop, Heels, and Street dance. Regular examinations with the ISTD are available for students to assess their progress and be rewarded for their hard work. The school has consistently achieved high examination results, with the majority of students gaining Distinction.

In addition to examinations, many students from the school participate in various local and national festivals and competitions across the country. This includes prestigious events such as So You Want To Dance and the All England Dance Competition. Several dancers from the school have even qualified their dances into the All England Dance Finals, held in London's prestigious West End every two years. The principal selects children to participate in competitions based on their overall progress during classes and other factors.

Anne Gale School of Dance also offers other performance opportunities for its students. Children from the school are often invited to take part in professional Christmas pantomimes produced by Pantoni, Duo Entertainment, and Upstage Productions. The school actively encourages its dancers to audition for shows regularly to gain essential performance experience. Additionally, the school holds an annual school show, allowing all members aged 3 and above to perform on stage.

Many children from the school have successfully auditioned for West End productions and have gone on to dance on cruise lines around the world.

The school offers classes in Ballet, Modern, Tap, Greek, Hip Hop, and Heels. Their main studio is located in Downs Road, Luton, with additional locations at Sacred Heart Parish Hall, Stewartby Village Hall, and Whitehouse, Milton Keynes. They will also be opening a new location in Solihull in January 2022.

The school is led by Miss Trudie, the principal, who herself grew up at Anne Gale School of Dance. Miss Trudie has danced professionally and performed at esteemed venues such as the Royal Albert Hall. She has achieved the highest grades in various dance exams and has also completed her exams to the same standard in Modern Theatre. Alongside her dance training, Miss Trudie holds a degree in Accounting and Finance and is a qualified member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Miss Karen, a teacher at the school for over 10 years, complements Miss Trudie's expertise.
