Annual Father’s Day Kite Fly

Don't miss out on the fun this Father's Day at the Courtenay Recreation Lewis Centre's Annual Father's Day Kite Fly event! Taking place on Sunday, June 16th at Goose Spit Park from 12:00 - 2:30 p.m., this event is sure to be a blast for the whole family.

Whether you're a dad, mom, grandparent, friend, or a kid of any age, everyone is welcome to join in on the fun. Bring your own colorful kites and let them soar through the sky while enjoying the beautiful beach surroundings. Registration is free and opens at noon, so make sure to arrive early to secure your spot in the event.

For those participating, remember to practice safe flying by steering clear of power lines. And don't forget to showcase your skills in various categories, such as peoples' choice, stunt kite, oldest pilot, largest kite, hard-luck flyer, homemade kite, and more. Trophies and prizes will be up for grabs for the winners.

Parking at Goose Spit Park is limited, but don't worry, there are park & ride options available from Brooklyn Elementary. Come out and make some fantastic memories with your family this Father's Day at the Kite Fly event!
