Aqua complexe

The Aqua complexe in Saint-Charles-de-Drummond, part of the Drummondville Aquatic Network, offers top-of-the-line indoor swimming facilities. Boasting two pools, the complex is renowned for its quality installations, cleanliness, and spacious design. The 25-meter square pool features ten swim lanes in both directions, perfect for competitive or recreational swimming. A wide promenade surrounds the main pool, with wheelchair-accessible ramps for all patrons.

The shallow depth of 1. 1 to 1. 4 meters caters to swimmers of all ages and abilities.

Additionally, the Aqua complexe houses a 10-meter pool and the Kino-aventure River, ideal for swimming lessons, water activities, and relaxation. The river features submerged jets that create a current, allowing swimmers to move against or with the flow for a unique aquatic experience. A whirlpool area in the centre offers added relaxation benefits. Both pools are equipped with Daktronics timing systems and a giant scoreboard, enabling high-level competitions to take place.

For a more intimate and relaxed swimming environment, visitors can head to the Piscine du Centre. This rectangular pool, over 50 years old and recently renovated in 2017, provides a perfect space for training sessions and instructional classes. Improved soundproofing and lighting enhance the atmosphere for all aquatic activities. Five swim lanes cater to a variety of swimmers, from beginners to seasoned athletes.

For a fun challenge, guests can test their balance and agility on the Wibit inflatable obstacle course. Measuring 20 meters in length, the Wibit features obstacles, jumps, and slides for a thrilling experience. Available on selected school holidays, weekends, and during the festive season, the Wibit adds an extra element of excitement to the Aqua complexe.

In addition to its indoor facilities, the Drummondville Aquatic Network oversees eight outdoor pools in the city. Manned by a team of lifeguards, these pools provide a safe and enjoyable summer swimming experience. With approximately 60 young staff members aged 15 to 25 supervising the outdoor pools, visitors can relax and have fun under the watchful eyes of trained professionals. Refreshed in 2020, these outdoor pools offer a perfect way to cool off and enjoy the sunshine in Saint-Charles-de-Drummond.
