Swim Academy in Buderim, Australia, known as Aqua Technical Swim Academy, is a swimming school established in 2018. The academy aims to revolutionise aquatic education and training by focusing on improving swimmers' competence in all disciplines of the sport, with a special emphasis on efficient and relaxed freestyle technique that contributes to enhanced water safety and competitiveness in various aquatic environments.

The Aqua Technical Swim Academy follows a unique approach called the “AQUATECH WAY,” which incorporates balance, motion, and rhythm as the fundamental elements of their teaching methodology. These elements are reinforced by a specialised practise called “Perpetual Breath,” which is exclusively taught at the academy. The philosophy behind the AQUATECH WAY is simple – the more relaxed and controlled the breath, the more relaxed and competent the swimmer becomes. From the very first visit, students are introduced to this distinctive AQUATECH BREATHING practise, which helps them develop a sense of in-water balance.

Building upon this newfound balance, the academy incorporates a dialogue-based drill-set that aims to permanently imprint the biomechanics of competent swimming technique, regardless of the swimmer's age or skill level. The Aqua Technical Swim Academy believes that while the correct stroke in all four disciplines of swimming is not a secret, the process of teaching swimming technique is an art that should not solely rely on the skills of individual teachers. By eliminating teacher-specific dependencies, the AQUATECH Process allows the focus to shift back onto the swimmer, enabling them to learn and improve within the most efficient timeframe possible.

The Aqua Technical Swim Academy offers 10 class passes that cover the school term, ensuring maximum efficiency both in and out of the water. If a student is unable to attend a scheduled class, they can inform the academy within a reasonable timeframe, and the session will remain as a valid unused pass for another time. These passes are valid for six months, providing flexibility for busy families.

Competitive swimmers, triathletes, and open water swimmers can also benefit from the Aqua Technical Swim Academy's approach. The AQUATECH WAY is specifically designed to incrementally improve performance with each session, leaving traditional labour-intensive sessions in the past. The introduction of the PERPETUAL BREATH technique changes a swimmer's focus in the water and supports a radically improved training philosophy known as Rapid Progression Aqua Drill-Based Training (RPADT). RPADT is a highly effective technique delivery system that can be applied both in aquatic education and competitive training environments.

It allows swimmers to rapidly improve their technique and become more proficient in style.

The Aqua Technical Swim Academy welcomes beginners as well as competitive swimmers. The RPADT process is particularly effective for confident swimmers seeking rapid improvement in technique. The academy offers the same price whether one or two students are present in a class, and with prior notice, classes can be rescheduled at any available time.

In addition to their regular programmes, the Aqua Technical Swim Academy offers a Toddler Immersion programme, which involves both the toddler and their parent or guardian. This co-parent programme aims to safely introduce toddlers to an aquatic environment while also providing basic techniques to the accompanying adult. The focus is on encouraging the toddler to feel comfortable both in and under the water, setting them on a positive aqua journey outside the academy.
