Aquatots is a renowned baby swimming school located in Rochester, New Zealand. The Aquatots swim programme is designed to not only teach children how to swim, but also develop water confidence and safety skills. As children progress through the 29 levels, they will learn advanced skills such as snorkelling, rescue techniques, and the use of underwater scooters.

Aquatots takes pride in creating suitable and warm environments for their lessons. Baby classes are held in warm, shallow private pools, providing a relaxed setting for new parents and first-time swimmers. As children become more independent swimmers, they move to larger pools that allow for the development of their skills to their maximum potential.

A unique aspect of Aquatots is their emphasis on parental involvement. Parents are encouraged to join their children in the water throughout the programme, even in the later swim levels. This not only creates a shared family activity, but also speeds up the learning process and ensures that children have a personal assistant to enhance their swimming abilities.

Aquatots was founded in 1997 by Evy Bentzon-Jones, a mother of two. Starting with just 20 swimmers a week in two pools, Evy's passion, enthusiasm, and teaching abilities quickly led to the expansion of Aquatots. By the turn of the millennium, Aquatots was running lessons in five pools with over 100 babies participating. Today, Aquatots continues to be at the forefront of the baby swimming industry, providing a gift for life to countless children and families in the Rochester community and beyond.
