The gym is led and managed by two highly dedicated and passionate personal trainers, Jemma Farrell and Amy Wethers. These two ladies share a deep love for health and fitness and take great joy in helping people transform themselves into healthier, stronger, and fitter individuals. At Arise Fitness, they create a welcoming and non-judgmental environment where members can come to be educated and empowered.
Situated within the Portadown Golf Club, Arise Fitness boasts a state-of-the-art functional gym on the ground floor and a motivating Group Exercise Studio on the first floor. The gym floor is where the Small Group Training sessions take place, while the studio is dedicated to providing a variety of Group Exercise Classes, ranging from high-energy spin classes to more relaxing and slower balance classes.
The values at Arise Fitness revolve around five main pillars: training, nutrition, recovery, mindset, and connexions. These pillars form the foundation of their approach to fitness, ensuring that members receive comprehensive and holistic support throughout their fitness journey.
The owners of Arise Fitness, Jemma Farrell and Amy Wethers, bring years of experience and expertise to the table. Jemma has been in the fitness industry for over six years, initially starting as a gym instructor before becoming a highly respected personal trainer and rugby coach in her local area. She specialises in female fitness and takes great pride in helping women become stronger and more confident in their bodies. When she's not on the gym floor, you'll likely find Jemma on a rugby pitch either playing or coaching.
Amy Wethers also has over six years of experience in the fitness industry. After completing a Sport and Exercise Degree, she realised her true passion lay in helping as many people as possible become stronger, fitter, and healthier. Amy excels in training individuals to become significantly stronger through tailored strength and conditioning programmes. When she's not training clients, Amy can usually be found on the road, cycling, or hitting a ball on a volleyball court.
Arise Fitness has convenient opening hours to accommodate various schedules. They are open from 6am to 11 am and 4pm to 9pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 4pm to 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6:30am to 11am and 4pm to 7pm on Fridays, and from 8 am to 10am on Saturdays. The gym is closed on Sundays.
