ASA Judo Academy

Welcome to ASA Judo Academy, a beacon of excellence and community spirit in Anantapur. Initiated in 2005, ASA Judo Academy operates across 73 centres, providing over 5,373 boys and girls with the opportunity to engage in weekly Judo training. With an emphasis on both physical and personal development, the academy nurtures young talents through structured and supportive programs designed to foster discipline, perseverance, and camaraderie.

The grassroots programs are the backbone of ASA Judo Academy, implemented through 72 schools in the district. In partnership with the Rural Development Trust (RDT), these schools offer comprehensive technical support and training gear, ensuring that 6,125 youth receive quality Judo instruction. The engaged and dedicated physical education teachers are pivotal in guiding the young judokas, providing them with the skills and confidence to excel both on and off the mats.

At the Anantapur Sports Village (ASV), the Judo academy stands as a Judo Federation of India (JFI) Training Centre since 2015. ASV is equipped with international standard infrastructure including a dedicated Judo hall, high-quality training mats, separate changing rooms, and essential facilities such as an office and storage space. The academy supports 25 elite athletes selected through a Talent ID program, offering a robust support system that includes personalized nutrition plans and free educational access through RDT’s partner schools and colleges.
