Each team at Ashington FC is led by a qualified coach with at least FA Level 1 certification, and they are supported by other qualified volunteers. All individuals involved in the club, including coaches and volunteers, have been DBS checked and have completed the FA Safeguarding Children courses. Additionally, the club ensures that each team has a qualified first-aider with a minimum of FA Level 1 Introduction to First Aid in Football certification.

Through dedication, hard work, and the support of the local community, Ashington FC has established itself as a renowned club. In recognition of its achievements, the club was honoured as the FA Charter Standard Development Club of the year for England in 2015.

Ashington FC is proud to be England Football Accredited, with the Football Association describing the club as a leading example that raises the bar and promotes respect and diversity. The club is committed to offering a place to play for all genders and abilities through its male, female, and disability teams.

The club caters to multiple age groups, starting from development age groups such as Under 6 and Under 7, and progressing to Under 8s up to Under 16s. Players in the Under 16s category have the opportunity to transition into the U18 team and adult football. Ashington FC understands the importance of supporting and encouraging girls' involvement in football and has recently become a FA Girls WildCats Centre, offering exclusive football activities for girls aged 5-11.
