Originally from Dubai, Sean began his Ashtanga Yoga journey in 2012. Feeling a sense of incomplete fulfilment, he embarked on a spiritual exploration, which led him to India where he met Certified teacher Rolf Naujokat. This encounter introduced him to the transformative practise of Ashtanga Yoga and sparked a passion for a more fulfilling lifestyle.
Sean continued his studies and practise in Dubai under the guidance of KPJAYI Level 2 Authorised teachers Olivier David and Nea Ferrier. In 2015, he made his first trip to Mysore, India to practise with his current teacher, R. Sharath Jois, and has returned annually since then. In 2019, Sean received his Level 1 Authorisation, solidifying his expertise in the practise of Ashtanga Yoga.
In addition to his dedication to Ashtanga Yoga, Sean also has a keen interest in yoga philosophy and meditation. He continues his studies of Sanskrit chanting under the guidance of Lakshmisha Bhat. Inspired to further enhance his teaching and practise, Sean explored the FRC system in 2019 with FRS Assistant Instructor Zach Deckelbaum's online platform. He also delved into the integration of FRC into the Ashtanga Yoga practise during a month-long intensive with Certified Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Mark Robberds in Bali.
In 2020, Sean completed the FRC certification, qualifying him as a Functional Range Conditioning mobility specialist.
With a wealth of knowledge and experience, Sean has taught in various locations around the world, including the UK, Dubai, China, and Singapore. Now, he brings his expertise and passion to Ashtanga Yoga Somerset in Taunton, providing students with a truly immersive and transformative yoga experience.
