Ashton88 Football pitch

Ashton88 Football Club, based in Ashton-under-Hill in Worcestershire, was reformed in June 2015 and takes its name from the original formation of the club for adults in 1988. The club has since grown to include a Senior Section and an ever-growing Junior Section.

The Senior Team of Ashton88 FC competes in The Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday League. They train on Thursday evenings and play their home matches at Littleton and TDMS.

The Junior Section of Ashton88 FC was formed in April 2016 with approximately 12 children of various ages. It has now grown to have a current membership of over 140 children across all age groups from under 8s to under 16s, including an all-girls team (under 12s). The Junior Section's sponsors are Park and Landscapes, supported by the Star Inn in Ashton Under Hill. Each team within the Junior Section also has its own individual sponsors.

The Juniors play in the Ambassador Evesham Saturday League, except for the girls' team, who play in the Mercian Saturday League. Home match days and summer training are held at Ashton-under-Hill, Beckford, and Alderton Playing Fields. In winter, the training moves to The De Montfort School and Prince Henrys High School in Evesham under the floodlights on Thursday evenings.

Ashton88 FC is an England Accredited 2-star Status club, which acknowledges that the club is well-run and sustainable. It emphasises the clubs commitment to child protection and safety, as well as player and coach development. Respect for referees, opposition teams, parents, coaches, and volunteers is also promoted. The club aims to provide an enjoyable experience for children of all abilities, ensuring equal playing time and quality training sessions.

All coaches and committee members at Ashton88 FC are volunteers. The club is non-profit-making, and fees are structured to cover the costs of running the club, including pitch hire and upkeep, equipment, referee and training fees, among others. The focus is on creating a fun and positive environment for both children and parents.
