We love basketball! It is fun, exciting and keeps you fit, it's what gets us out of bed in the morning.
Why people keep coming back
“Angus has done 1 on 1 training with Pete for some time, it’s been really noticeable the improvements he’s been making it’s been very beneficial for him, And he’s very intuitive which is fabulous because he can tailor make every program for each child it’s wonderful” Racinda Favetti - Angus’s Mum
"Seamus has been with Peter for two years now over this period not only has Seamus developed enormously in his basketball skills but what has been incredibly impactful, Peter has instilled in him the tools and the means of thinking about this future. Seamus has developed enormously in his confidence, his self esteem not only to the game and the skills of basketball but particularly towards his attitude towards life." Heather Mitchell
“Peter has made me a much better person just with the attention he puts in to not only coaching but the life skills he gives out as well” - Marcus Towers- ATD Student
First you learn to shoot, dribble & drive and pass. Then it's all about attention to detail and doing the little things very well. Then you can relax into a game and keep your composure, which gives you time to read the defender and know the best move to make.
About Coach Peter and the ATD Team
Born in South Sudan in 1990, Peter escaped with his family in 1995 due to the war. On their way to Australia they had many near misses including a near death experience in Ethiopia. It is these life experiences plus his successful basketball career that makes his clinics and camps so successful.
For the players, we aim to inspire, push, motivate and create an environment in which all our students can thrive, grow, improve their game, increase their confidence and their overall self esteem.
We use basketball as a tool to teach discipline, respect hard work, accountability, consistency, team work and attention to detail. We believe in each and everyone of our students and we love to see the overall growth of every single one of them.
‘We are more than a basketball academy we are a family.’
