The team at Athletica comprises two coaches, Dave Cassidy and Sean Blease. Dave has been working as a Strength and Conditioning Coach since 1995 and holds a Degree in Sports Science. Throughout his career, he has worked with athletes from various sports, ranging from elite professionals to junior development pathways and amateurs. Dave utilises his extensive experience and knowledge gained from working with industry leaders to achieve the best possible outcomes for his clients.
He focuses on consistent effort over time and client education to ensure long-lasting results.
Sean Blease, a founding director of Athletica, is also a Strength and Conditioning Coach. Originating from Christchurch, New Zealand, Sean has been in the fitness industry since 2014. He holds a bachelor's degree in Strength and Conditioning and Nutrition. Sean has experience working with top-level athletes in both individual and team sports and believes that understanding a client's motivations, limitations, and capabilities is crucial for success in training.
His methodology revolves around teaching clients principles rather than just counting reps, emphasising the growth of both the body and mind. Sean also places a strong focus on mental health and its interconnectedness with training.
Athletica is located at Karrinyup Shopping Centre in Perth, Western Australia. They offer flexible hours from Monday to Saturday, ensuring availability for clients. However, it's important to note that hours are subject to change based on accessibility and availability.
