Kiama Power Junior and Senior Australian Football Clubs are thrilled to promote an exciting soccer event in the town of Kiama. This event is perfect for players who are interested in joining our vibrant sports club.
For boys and girls between the ages of 4 to 8, we have a fantastic program called Auskick. It's a fun and safe way for young ones to learn the basics of Australian Rules football. We offer one training session per week where kids can hone their skills and practice the game. On Sundays, they get to experience the thrill of playing a modified rules game against another team.
For some of the more advanced boys and girls aged 7 or 8, there might even be the opportunity to play in the U9s competition. This is a great stepping stone for those looking to transition into the junior competition. Our junior competition features teams in various age groups, including U9s, U11s, U13s, U15s, and U17s. It's a wonderful opportunity for young players to showcase their talent and develop their skills on the field.
In the U9s competition, the focus is not on points or scores; instead, it provides a platform for kids to get accustomed to the competitive nature of the game before they move on to U11s. The Illawarra competition is where you'll see all the U9s to U17s teams battling it out. While not all clubs have teams in every age group, Kiama Power is proud to usually have multiple teams across different age groups. And sometimes, these teams even get to compete against each other, adding an extra layer of excitement to our club and the spectators watching.
At Kiama Power, we prioritise the development and safety of our players. To ensure this, all our coaches have the appropriate AFL coaching qualifications. We believe in cultivating a positive and supportive environment for our players to thrive.
If you're new to the club, we've got you covered! New players will receive a pair of club shorts and socks at no additional cost. And if you want to show off your Kiama Power pride, additional apparel such as shorts, socks, caps, beanies, polo shirts, and hoodies can be purchased at our Canteen.
When the season kicks off, players will be assigned playing jerseys, which they will need to return at the end. It's important to stay updated with training days and times, and you can easily do so by visiting our website. And if you're interested in coaching, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We're always looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our coaching team.
So, mark your calendars, spread the word, and get ready for an incredible soccer event brought to you by Kiama Power Junior and Senior Australian Football Clubs. We can't wait to see you on the field!
