The founder and guide of Australian Freshwater Fishing Charters is Matthew Langford. With a lifelong passion for freshwater fishing, Matthew has extensive knowledge on all freshwater fish species. He has appeared on fishing DVDs, the televised AFC series, and writes columns for fishing magazines and websites. Additionally, he competes in professional fishing tournaments and has won multiple titles both in Australia and overseas.

As a qualified high school teacher, Matthew knows the best ways to educate customers on freshwater fishing techniques both in and out of the classroom.

Australian Freshwater Fishing Charters offers charters to various impoundments and rivers including Boondooma Dam, Bjelke-Peterson Dam, Somerset Dam, Lake Cressbrook, Borumba Dam, Lake Mcdonald, The Mary River, Lake Wivenhoe, The Balonne River, Wuruma Dam, Lake Cania, Mackenzie River, and more. They have a 19 ft fibreglass Champion Bass boat equipped with top-of-the-line fishing technology and Garmin sounding equipment. The boat is powered by a 200 hp Mercury Optimax and features the newest Garmin Force trolling motor. It is certified for safety and provides a thrilling fishing experience.

Customers have the option to bring their own fishing gear or use the provided gear and tackle. All lures will be supplied, along with guidance on how to best use them in different fishing situations. Cost may be incurred for any damage or losses to the gear.
