The Avalon Archery Club, a local archery club in Street, is excited to announce an upcoming event that is perfect for archery enthusiasts. If you've ever wanted to give archery a try, the Club offers a fantastic opportunity with their 'Have a Go' sessions. These sessions allow individuals to experience the thrill of archery and learn the basics of the sport.
To participate in a Taster Session, all you need to do is get in touch with the Avalon Archery Club to sign up. It's a great way to dip your toes into the world of archery and see if it's the right sport for you.
But that's not all! The Club is also open to hosting 'Have a Go' sessions for groups, organisations, and even corporate events. Imagine the fun and excitement of trying archery with your friends, colleagues, or teammates. Before we can make this happen, there will be a discussion between the Club and the interested party to ensure that all safety measures and logistical arrangements are in place. Please note, however, that at the present time, the Club is unable to provide Taster Sessions. But don't worry, there are still plenty of opportunities to get involved and enjoy the sport!
The Club's regular sessions take place at the Sports Centre of Strode College, conveniently situated at Church Road, Street, Somerset, BA16 0AB. During the summer months, from April to September, we take advantage of the great weather and shoot outdoors in the playing fields on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, as well as on Saturday mornings from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. It's the perfect way to spend your evenings or start your weekends off right.
When winter arrives, from October to March, we move our sessions indoors to the Sports Hall on Tuesday evenings, while continuing to shoot outdoors on Saturday mornings. We're committed to providing year-round archery opportunities, rain or shine!
