Helen knows how to connect with athletes who want to blend strength and flexibility with mental clarity. With over 30 years of yoga practice, she’s developed a unique style called 'Therapeutic Hatha Flow.' Her classes kick off with breath awareness and limber exercises, moving into a slow flow sequence that includes lying down, seated, and standing postures, and wrapping up with meditation or relaxation.
Helen's focus on mental health through yoga is well-regarded. She’s a qualified Yoga In Healthcare Alliance Teacher and delivers the Yoga4Health course, which has shown to help reduce stress and anxiety, improve heart health, and enhance overall wellbeing.
A proud Devon native and avid traveller, Helen has made her home in the North West with her husband, two kids, and a menagerie of pets. Her passion for yoga is palpable, and she works hard to create a welcoming environment for everyone, no matter their experience level.
Avalon Yoga offers a variety of class options. Weekly sessions are held at Bramhall Tennis Club in Wilmslow on Tuesdays at 19:15, and there are also live Zoom sessions available. For Pennine Care Staff, exclusive classes are held at the 4C Centre in Ashton-Under-Lyne on Wednesdays at 16:15.
For a more personalised touch, Helen provides private sessions. These 1-2-1 sessions start at £45 and include a consultation to tailor the practice to specific needs, followed by a 45-minute lesson. Further lessons can be booked for £40 each or £140 for a block of four.
