As one of the leading indoor climbing facilities in the area, Avertical World offers both a rock climbing gym and an outdoor clothing and equipment shop, providing everything you need to embark on your climbing adventures.

At Avertical World, we believe that climbing should be accessible to everyone, which is why we offer a membership option for just 29 per month. With unlimited access to our facilities, you can climb to your heart's content without breaking the bank. We initially introduced this affordable price for the first three months of the year, and our hope is to continue offering it in the future, so that climbing remains accessible to all.

Whether you've been inspired by the climbers at the Tokyo Olympics or you're seeking a new and exhilarating form of exercise, indoor climbing at Avertical World is the perfect choice for you. Our centre attracts both novice climbers and professional athletes, with members of the UK and Scottish climbing teams regularly using our facilities for training. No matter your skill level, age, or experience, you'll find something for you at Avertical World.

Indoor climbing comes in two main forms: bouldering and roped climbing. Bouldering is a low-level climbing activity that takes place above crash mats and does not require the use of ropes. It's a thrilling and accessible option for beginners and experts alike, with hundreds of challenging “problems” to test your abilities.

For those looking for a more traditional climbing experience, our roped climbing walls range in height from 5 to over 10 metres. Roped climbing involves a climber and a belayer, ensuring safety and providing the opportunity to challenge yourself on our higher walls. We also offer auto belays, which use mechanical devices to automatically lower you down from your climb, as well as lead climbing, a more advanced form of roped climbing that mimics outdoor climbing techniques.

In addition to our state-of-the-art climbing facilities, Avertical World also houses an outdoor clothing and equipment shop. Here, you'll find a wide range of gear to suit all your climbing needs, from clothing and footwear to harnesses, ropes, and climbing hardware. Our knowledgeable staff are on hand to provide expert advice and help you find the perfect equipment for your next adventure.

Our opening hours are designed to accommodate climbers of all schedules, with weekday hours ranging from 11 AM to 10 PM, and extended hours on Thursdays and Fridays from 8:30 AM to 10 PM.
