He received his black belt from Hayden Bucknell at Axis HQ Christchurch. Dan specialises in NoGi grappling but also has expertise in traditional gi training. He is also a qualified physiotherapist, having completed a masters of sports physiotherapy.
Dan has been working with BJJ athletes and martial artists for their injury recovery and training since 2011.
