The Aylesbury KSK Aikido Club is Aylesbury's top martial arts school, specialising in the practise of Aikido. Aikido is a practical and effective defensive martial art that focuses on using the attacker's force against them. It is a subtle art that emphasises blending with an attack and redirecting it, rather than relying on brute force blocking and counter-striking. Aikido is suitable for people of all sizes and strength levels, as physical attributes are not requirements for success.
The Aylesbury KSK Aikido Club operates out of the Haydon Hill Community Centre, located at Dickens Way in Aylesbury. The club is affiliated with the Kai Shin Kai Traditional Aikido Association and is a founding member of the Aikido Alliance UK. With over 30 years of training experience, the club holds the distinction of being the oldest Aikido club in Aylesbury.
The club meets every Thursday from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Visitors are welcome to join in the training or simply observe if they prefer. Loose clothing without buttons or zips is recommended for training, and the club can provide a gi (traditional Aikido uniform) if necessary. It is advised to leave jewellery at home to prevent any loss or damage.
The Aylesbury KSK Aikido Club boasts a team of experienced instructors who are registered with the Aikido Alliance UK and hold Public Indemnity Insurance. Brian Horsler is a 4th Dan Coach Level 2, while Anthony Ward and David Salmon are both 3rd Dan Coach Level 1.
For more information about the club, its instructors, and the fees, individuals can visit the club's website or contact them via email at bill. Ksk7@tiscali. Co. uk.
