Our lesson programme at Back Lane Stables is designed to cater to riders of all ages and abilities. Whether you're a beginner looking to learn the basics or an experienced rider wanting to improve your skills, we have something for everyone.

Our team of dedicated, hard-working, and qualified instructors are committed to providing professional and educational tuition in a friendly and fun environment. With their expertise and the support of our well-trained horses, we strive to ensure that every rider feels confident and comfortable during their lessons.

We offer a variety of lessons, including group lessons, private lessons, and hacks, to suit individual preferences. Our group lessons allow riders to learn alongside others in a social and supportive atmosphere. Private lessons provide one-on-one attention and personalised instruction tailored to the individual's needs and goals. For those who prefer to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside, we offer hacks which are a fantastic way to enjoy horse riding in a relaxed setting.

In addition to our regular lesson programme, we also offer lessons to clients who have their own horses. This allows riders to receive instruction while working with their own trusted mount.

At Back Lane Stables, we hold ourselves to high standards of equine care, which has been acknowledged by our 5-star rating and 3-year licence from Leeds City Council. Our facilities have been continuously improved over the years to provide the best experience for our riders. We have two outdoor all-weather arenas with Flexi-ride surfaces, one of which is 60m long, allowing lessons to take place throughout the year. Both arenas are flood-lit, enabling lessons to continue during the darker winter months.

We also have a full set of show jumps and dressage markers, facilitating various competitions and training sessions.

As a BHS approved riding school and training centre, we offer training and assessments for the BHS Stage 1 exam and the BHS Ride Safe award. We are also proud to be affiliated with the Pony Club and British Riding Clubs, providing additional opportunities for both children and adults to engage in equestrian activities.

Over the years, our stables have even featured in films and CBBC programmes, adding to the excitement and allure of riding with us.
