About
Looking for a fun way to stay active and meet new friends in Nottingham? Maria invites you to join Badminton Social | Nottingham, happening every Monday from 19:30 – 21:30 at Samworth Academy on Bramhall Road, Bilborough. Open to all, regardless of skill level or sexual orientation, this group welcomes anyone who loves socialising and playing badminton.
Each session mixes things up with different doubles games, giving everyone a chance to meet and play with new people. The venue has a 4-court sports hall and plenty of parking, or you can easily hop on the 28 bus from the city and get off at Burnside Green.
At just £4 per session, you'll need to bring your own racket, but shuttles are provided. Feel free to wear any comfortable sportswear; club shirts are also available if you fancy one. Payment is online for convenience.
Beyond the weekly fun, Maria’s group competes in tournaments and holds social events throughout the year. Founded in 2005, Badminton Social | Nottingham has grown into the largest LGBT badminton club in the East Midlands, drawing people from across the region.
Whether you're a seasoned player or a beginner, everyone’s welcome to join, improve their game, and make lasting friendships in a supportive environment. Join in for a game, a laugh, and a great time!
