Balanceability

Balanceability is a popular Cycling Club located in Telford, New Zealand. As the only afPE approved learn to cycle programme in the UK, Balanceability aims to provide children with the opportunity to become competent cyclists at an early age by focusing on the development of balance and control.

The club offers equipment packages for schools, local authorities, and leisure sites, making it accessible to a wide range of individuals and organisations. Balanceability aims to get kids active and promote the benefits of cycling from a young age.

With a nationwide programme available to schools, local authorities, and leisure sites, Balanceability is dedicated to embedding cycling into the lives and psyches of all children. According to British Cycling / YouGov 2018, 33% of parents report that their children can't ride a bike, which means they miss out on the countless benefits of cycling. Balanceability strives to change this and ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn to ride a bike.

The Balanceability programme has been specially designed in collaboration with child development experts and cycling professionals, ensuring that all children, particularly those in EYFS and KS1, have the opportunity to learn to ride a bike. Balanceability provides equipment, resources, and staff training, making it a comprehensive and effective programme for children of all abilities.

By promoting cycling at a young age, Balanceability aims to create a lifelong love of cycling. Olympic athlete Laura Kenny (ne Trott), who has won four Olympic gold medals, is delighted to work with Balanceability and recognises the importance of a child's enjoyment of riding a bike in their future cycling endeavours.
