Safety and courtesy are paramount while playing at Bald Hill Disc Golf. It is essential to give other park users the right of way and never throw when other players or park users are within range. Respect for the course and the environment is also crucial, so please dispose of rubbish in the bins provided and help keep the park tidy.
The game starts with a tee-off throw from the designated tee pad, and after each player has thrown, the player whose disc is furthest from the basket throws next. The next throw is taken from where the disc landed on the fairway, and players must stay behind that spot. A follow-through is allowed after releasing the disc. For putting, players must remain behind the spot until the disc comes to rest if the throw is less than 10m from the basket.
A hole is considered complete when the disc comes to rest in the basket or chains; landing on top of the basket does not count.
Proper order is maintained by having the player with the lowest score on the previous hole throw first for each new hole. If a disc goes out of bounds, marked by the OB area on the tee sign, a one-throw penalty is added, and the next throw is taken from where the disc went OB. Throws on or over roads and footpaths are also considered out of bounds. If a disc lands in a tree, the next throw is played from underneath the tree with no penalty.
For easier navigation of the course, course maps are available for download on the official website. These maps provide a visual representation of each hole and can be accessed in PDF format.
