What classes do you offer?

We offer a variety of classes for adults, including Silver Swans, Foundation Adult Ballet, and Intermediate Adult Ballet. Silver Swans is a specially designed ballet class for older adults, offering a gentle yet effective workout that improves mobility, flexibility, and strength. Foundation Adult Ballet is perfect for those who are new to ballet or have limited experience, focusing on building a solid foundation of technique and vocabulary. Intermediate Adult Ballet is for those with some previous ballet experience, who are looking to progress and refine their skills.

Who is Lynda Favour?

Lynda Favour is the founder and lead instructor at Ballet by Lynda. She has a wealth of experience and qualifications in dance, including vocational examinations in RAD Ballet, ISTD, Modern, and National. She has trained at prestigious institutions such as the Urdang Academy in London and the Northern School of Contemporary Dance. Lynda is a registered teacher with the RAD and is committed to providing high-quality dance education for all ages and abilities.

What is the teaching philosophy at Ballet by Lynda?

At Ballet by Lynda, our teaching philosophy is rooted in inclusivity, fun, and enjoyment for movement. We believe that anyone can dance, regardless of age, experience, or background. Our classes are welcoming and supportive, creating a safe space for individuals to explore and express themselves through ballet. We prioritise correct technique and safe practise, following the RAD syllabus to ensure a strong foundation in classical ballet.

Where are the classes held?

All of our ballet classes are currently held at Wilmslow Guild for Life Long Learning. This centrally located venue provides a spacious and well-equipped environment for our students to learn and dance. We have a dedicated studio that allows for focused and uninterrupted training. The new term for adult ballet will start on Tuesday 4th January 2022, so be sure to book your spot in advance!
