All players, including men, women, boys, girls, and masters, are welcome to get involved and experience the club's inclusive culture. Players are encouraged to register with the club's TeamApp for important information and updates.
The men's team is excited about the upcoming 2024 season and the club's ambitious plans for the future. The addition of a new ground at Rozelle Parklands, starting in February 2024, will provide even more opportunities for growth and development. The close affiliation with the Glebe Greyhounds and Canada Bay Cannons ensures a clear pathway for juniors to progress and play senior football. The club is always looking to recruit new Tigers, whether they are juniors transitioning to seniors, individuals looking for a change, or newcomers to the area wanting to join a club with a long-standing heritage.
The women's team, formed in 1999, is eager to make a comeback in 2025. The club has previously competed in the Sydney Women's AFL competition and aims to welcome women of all ages back to the field. The women's masters team, established in 2022 in partnership with the Newtown Breakaways FC, provides social footy for women over the age of 35. Whether you're a beginner, a current player, or wanting to reignite your love for the sport, all women are welcomed to participate.
With 10 games spread throughout the year, everyone has the chance to join in and have fun.
The men's masters team is open to individuals over the age of 35 who have a love for the AFL or are interested in trying it out for the first time. For those over 60, the team offers the opportunity to relive the glory days. The Balmain AFC Masters play a range of AFL games, including social matches, scratch matches, and carnivals, as well as competing in the Sydney AFL Masters Competition. If you're interested in giving Masters football a try, the club encourages you to reach out.
The Balmain Australian Football Club is excited to announce that it will be forming under 19. 5 men's and under 20 women's teams for the 2024 season, in collaboration with local junior clubs. This will allow young players to continue their footy journey in the Inner West. The associated clubs include the Glebe Greyhounds, Canada Bay Cannons, and Leichhardt Cygnets.
