Safety is of utmost importance at Banjo's Skate Park, and the use of protective equipment, such as helmets, knee pads, and elbow pads, is strongly recommended for all participants. This ensures that everyone can enjoy their time at the park while minimising the risk of injuries.
Aside from the well-maintained skateparks, Banjo's Skate Park also offers a defined Skatepark Strategy that supports the growing popularity of skateboarding and scootering across various age groups, genders, and abilities. In addition to the skateparks, Banjo's Skate Park boasts four BMX tracks where riders can learn and practise their skills. These tracks are located at Long Jetty, San Remo, Terrigal, and Umina Beach. Each track offers different challenges and caters to different skill levels, from beginner to intermediate. Riders are encouraged to wear safety equipment, including helmets, long pants, long sleeves, shoes, and gloves, to ensure a safe riding experience.
The Terrigal BMX track, managed by Terrigal BMX Club, is a popular spot for riders to connect and improve their skills. The Umina BMX track, located next to Umina skate park, is suitable for beginner to intermediate level riders. The San Remo BMX Facility, on the other hand, is open for public usage and features a 330-metre BMX track with a polymer coating to prevent erosion, a 5-metre high start hill with electric start gates and shelter, and competition standard floodlighting for night racing. The facility also includes amenities such as a commercial-grade kitchen, canteen, scorer's room, accessible toilets, and storerooms.
Banjo's Skate Park hosts regular BMX events and meets, organised by the San Remo BMX Club, providing riders with a chance to showcase their skills and compete against others in a friendly and supportive environment.
