Exciting news awaits both existing members and newcomers to the club. Barnsley Gymnastics Club is proud to announce the launch of their holiday camps, which will be held during the summer holidays and autumn half-term. The camps will run from 9:30AM to 1:30PM on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The camp fee is 17.

50 per day, which includes lunch. Siblings of participants are eligible for a discount of 20%, while children on free school dinners can attend the camp free of charge. The club encourages everyone, including non-members, to spread the word and join the holiday camp. The programme will feature a variety of engaging activities, including physical activities, gymnastics, dance, games, crafts, and tabletop games.

Furthermore, Barnsley Gymnastics Club is pleased to announce the return of close coach contact for their classes. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, coaches were unable to physically support and assist the gymnasts, leading to slower progress. The resumption of coach manual support aims to reduce fear and increase confidence among gymnasts, ensuring their safety during new and potentially dangerous moves. This return to close coach contact will occur gradually, with extensive documentation and precautions in place to prioritise the health and well-being of staff, gymnasts, and the club.

Parents are required to opt-in for their child to receive coach support, but it is not mandatory. The club assures that all gymnasts, regardless of coach contact, will continue to receive quality training, improve their fitness, and learn new skills. The club has developed an action plan and provided information for parents and caregivers regarding the return of coach contact, including COVID-19 prevention measures. The timing and extent of coach contact will be carefully assessed to minimise disruptions and ensure the safety of all participants.
