About
Trips are planned each year to various destinations in Ontario, Quebec, and beyond.
The Barrie Canoe & Kayak Club is dedicated to promoting safe and enjoyable paddling experiences. The Club offers skills clinics throughout the year to help members develop their paddling techniques and safety knowledge. These clinics cover a range of topics including rescues, strokes, navigation, and more. All skill levels are welcome, from beginners to advanced paddlers.
In addition to skills clinics and trips, the Club also hosts social events and presentations. These events provide members with the opportunity to connect with fellow paddlers, share stories, and learn from experienced paddlers. The Club also hosts the annual Paddling Film Festival, showcasing the best paddling films from around the world.
The Barrie Canoe & Kayak Club is always looking for volunteers to help with club activities and events. Current volunteer opportunities include the position of Paddle Night Coordinator, responsible for organizing and running the Club's weekly paddle nights. Volunteering with the club is a great way to get involved, meet new people, and contribute to the paddling community.
Whether you are new to paddling or a seasoned pro, the Barrie Canoe & Kayak Club welcomes paddlers of all ages and skill levels. Join the club today to start exploring the waters of Ontario and beyond with a group of like-minded paddlers. Experience the joy of paddling and create lasting memories with the Barrie Canoe & Kayak Club.
