Basingstoke Taekwondo offers regular belt gradings, overseen by South West (TAGB) Area Examiner Grand Master Michael Dew, a highly respected 9th-degree black belt holder. This provides students with a clear pathway for progression and recognition of their skills and achievements.
The club warmly welcomes new recruits, emphasising that everyone has to start as a white belt, and a black belt is simply a white belt that never gave up. They encourage individuals of all ages to take a positive step towards self-improvement by enrolling themselves or their children in their classes. However, due to limited spaces, interested individuals are advised to get in touch as soon as possible to secure their spot.
Basingstoke Taekwondo offers training sessions at two convenient locations. On Mondays and Wednesdays, classes are held at The Aldworth School Gym. The class schedule is divided into a junior class for early grades from 6pm-6:45pm, a junior class for high grades from 6:45pm-7:30pm, and an adult class from 7:30pm-8:15pm. On Saturdays, classes take place at Oakley Junior School, with the timetable including Tiger classes for ages 4-7 from 9:00am-10:00am, a junior class from 10:05am-10:55am, and a mixed class from 10:55am-11:45am.
