Specialising in the Korean martial art of Taekwondo, the school offers a safe and enjoyable environment for individuals of all ages and skill levels. Taekwondo is a highly dynamic martial art practised by over 60 million people in 184 countries, known for its fast and spectacular kicks.

Taekwondo is not only an effective combat and self-defence system but also a form of physical exercise that promotes flexibility, strength, stamina, and focus. The practise of Taekwondo goes beyond physical abilities and emphasises personal growth and development. As an Olympic sport, Taekwondo has gained recognition worldwide. It made its debut at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games and is now also a Commonwealth Games sport. British athlete Jade Jones even won a Gold medal in Taekwondo at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Practising Taekwondo not only improves physical fitness but also enhances flexibility, stamina, concentration, and self-confidence.

Bath SKY Taekwondo follows a national curriculum and teaches Olympic-style Taekwondo. The club is a not-for-profit organisation and an official member of British Taekwondo, the Governing Body for World Taekwondo (WT) in the United Kingdom. British Taekwondo is recognised by UK Sport and Sport England as the National Governing Body for WT Taekwondo in the UK.

The training hall, also known as the dojang, is located at the prestigious Bath University Sports Training Village. It is spacious and fully matted to ensure safety during training sessions. The club welcomes adults and children from 10 years old, providing a friendly and professional atmosphere. All instructors are officially certified and DBS checked to ensure the highest standards of teaching.

Classes are held on Wednesdays from 6. 45 pm to 8. 00 pm and on Saturdays from 10. 00 am to 11.
