BC Mayhem Tournament

The BC Mayhem Tournament, based in Delta, is an ice hockey club that prides itself on putting the fun back into the game. Taking place on May 17th-20th, 2024 at three different locations including Planet Ice Coquitlam, Burnaby Winter Club, and Canlan North Shore, the tournament offers divisions for players born between 2009-2017, with up to three flights in each division and a 4-game guarantee. The cost of registration is $2499 plus GST.

Inside Edge Tournaments, the organizers of the BC Mayhem, are dedicated to creating a fun and exciting event for all participants. In the spirit of good sportsmanship, teams are encouraged to assess their skill level accurately when registering for a flight, to ensure competitive balance. The tournament committee reserves the right to assign teams to a flight if needed. It is crucial for all teams to adhere to the tournament rules, including registering on time and submitting proof of insurance.

During the games, the home team must wear dark-coloured jerseys while the away team wears light-colored jerseys. Team officials are responsible for ensuring compliance with this rule to avoid any issues during the games. All player statistics are final once the game sheet is completed, with exceptions made for errors. Teams must email any changes to the game sheet to the tournament committee for review and approval.

The BC Mayhem Tournament enforces a zero-tolerance policy for referee abuse and unsportsmanlike behaviour. Offenders will be ejected from the game, with coaches facing suspension for multiple infractions. Spectators are also expected to conduct themselves appropriately, with abusive individuals asked to leave the premises. Proper conduct is paramount to ensuring a positive experience for all participants.

Ice time during the tournament includes pre-game warm-ups of four minutes and game periods of 3 x 15-minute stop time periods. Each game must adhere to its scheduled 75-minute time slot, with adjustments made for the third period if needed. The tournament committee reserves the right to make any necessary adjustments to ensure the smooth running of the event.
