Join the largest Shaolin Karate-Do (Matsubayashi-Ryu) dojo gathering in the world at Beaumont Karate-Do Inc. Led by Chief Instructor Case Watson, who’s earned his 3rd degree black belt under Hanshi Ed Johnson, the dojo offers top-notch training.
Our passionate team of instructors brings over 100 years of combined experience in Matsubayashi-Ryu Karate-Do and Kobudo. Sempai Case Watson began his journey in 1994, followed by Sempai Steve Hartnett in 1995, and Sempai Michael Opdendries in 1996. They’re here to share their expertise with all our students.
We have classes for everyone—from juniors aged 6 to 12 to youth and adults 13 and up. If you’re into weapons or advance kata, we’ve got specialized classes for orange and green belts and above. Our sessions run every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evening.
Our flexible pricing includes options for single members, families, and groups, with seasonal and annual plans to fit everyone’s needs. We’re all about making martial arts accessible in Beaumont.

We provide instruction in Shito-Ryu Karate-Do as Traditional Japanese Martial Arts through the Shito-Ryu Karate-Do Kyokai. Our chief instructor is Cameron Steuart.
We take part in karate championships and seminars with specific dates and event times listed. Upcoming events include the North Battleford Karate Championships with registration from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM, and a Shihan Uema Seminar on December 6 and 7.
For the North Battleford Karate Championships, registration runs from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM on the event date. Fees and other costs are available under our Fees page.
