
Becs McBride Yoga & Mindfulness is a well-known yoga and meditation instructor based in Loughborough, New Zealand. With a strong passion for yoga and its transformative effects, Becs aims to guide her students in transforming their mind, body, and spirit through her classes.
Becs McBride's journey with yoga began in 1994 when she discovered the practise through a DVD. She instantly fell in love with how amazing yoga made her feel, both physically and mentally. Over the years, she continued to practise at home and at her local gym, realising the profound impact it had on her overall well-being.
After nearly two decades of working as a graphic designer in Nottingham, Becs found herself feeling unfulfilled in her career. The stress and pressure took a toll on her health, leading to severe migraines. Determined to find her true purpose, she embarked on a 200-hour yoga teacher training with Bahia Yoga in Nottingham, which was accredited by the globally recognised Yoga Alliance.
The training proved to be life-changing for Becs, solidifying her passion for yoga and shaping her new career path. As a Hatha Yoga teacher, she wanted to share this transformative experience with others. Her teaching style incorporates both Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga, seamlessly flowing from one posture to another. She believes that yoga extends beyond the physical practise, serving as a tool for inner transformation and personal growth.
Becs strives to create a welcoming and nurturing environment for her students, understanding that yoga is not a one-size-fits-all practise. She encourages everyone to practise at their own pace and listen to their bodies. Throughout her teaching career, she has led a diverse range of classes in universities, sports clubs, businesses, and gyms across Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire. Currently based in Woodhouse Eaves, she specialises in private yoga sessions, wellness workshops, and retreats.
In addition to her yoga practise, Becs has a deep-rooted connexion to meditation and mindfulness. Her interest in Buddhism led her to attend courses at the Nottingham Buddhist Centre, where she discovered the power of meditation and mindfulness in her own life. These practises have since become an integral part of her daily routine and a guiding force in her teachings.
