Beejay’S Calisthenic Club

BeeJay's Callisthenics Club, located in Werribee, Melbourne, is a vibrant and inclusive sports club offering classes in the unique and exciting sport of callisthenics. Callisthenics combines elements of dancing, singing, gymnastics, and technical skill to create a dynamic and artistic performance.

Established in 2010 by Belinda “BJ” Dwyer and her supportive family, BeeJay's Callisthenics Club is now entering its 14th year of operation. The club is proud to be family-oriented and run by a diverse committee and experienced coaches who create a fun and friendly environment for participants of all ages.

BeeJay's caters to beginners through to experienced performers, with classes available for girls, boys, and women. Whether you are new to callisthenics or have prior experience, the club welcomes you to come and join in the excitement. The first two classes are free, giving newcomers the opportunity to give callisthenics a try without any commitment.

The club's Level 1 coach, Belinda “BJ” Dwyer, has been involved in callisthenics since the age of 8 and has a passion for coaching and seeing pupils develop their skills and grow their love for the sport. Ebony Egan, also a Level 1 coach, has been part of the club for 13 years and enjoys pushing the girls to their limits and witnessing their improvement and growth on stage. Sharon Naris, another Level 1 coach, has been involved in callisthenics for over 20 years and loves the friendships she has made and seeing students progress and improve their skills.

Tracey Barrett, a Level 1 coach with over 50 years of experience in callisthenics, is a founding member of BeeJay's and plays a vital role in mentoring the club's cadet coaches and assisting with various sections of the club. With such experienced and dedicated coaches, participants can expect quality instruction and guidance.

In addition to providing excellent coaching, BeeJay's Callisthenics Club also offers opportunities for students to perform on stage and showcase their skills. The club believes that participating in callisthenics builds strong, confident leaders through friendship and teamwork.
