At Be Still & Chill, a sports club located in Sydney, individuals are encouraged to just be themselves and focus on their own wellbeing. The club's mission is to provide a space where individuals can connect with caring and professional practitioners and instructors to unwind, learn, and rebuild their health. With daily sessions and treatments available, members have the opportunity to engage in activities such as studio Pilates and remedial massage.
Studio Pilates sessions are available with Michele, the principle instructor at Be Still & Chill. By appointment, sessions are held on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with the occasional Thursday available for small groups or private sessions. Michele's expertise lies in pain relief, injury prevention and rehabilitation, event training, and improving mental health. Throughout each session, Michele provides personalised instruction and guidance based on individual needs, whether it be injury rehabilitation, improving strength and flexibility, or overall well-being.
Remedial massage is also offered at Be Still & Chill, with practitioners Michele and Elissa providing services. The massages aim to assist with pain relief, injury prevention and rehabilitation, as well as improving mental health. This treatment provides individuals with some much-needed relaxation and “me-time,” complementing the other services offered at the club.
Be Still & Chill is grateful for the support of its community and has been honoured as a finalist for the Northern Beaches Business Awards for Best Health Improvement Service for five consecutive years. The club appreciates the opportunity to share their passions and educate the community about good health and well-being.
One of the core offerings at Be Still & Chill is Pilates, which is led by Principle Instructor Michele. She firmly believes in the effectiveness of personalised Pilates programmes and utilises massage and Pilates to bring balance to the body, mind, and spirit. Through individualised programmes, members can reduce tension, swelling, and pain, while also boosting energy, stability, strength, endurance, and immunity. Each session begins with a postural and movement assessment, allowing members to create a programme tailored to their specific needs and goals.
Be Still & Chill offers various options for Pilates sessions, including small group classes with a ratio of three members to one instructor, duos, or private one-on-one sessions. Private sessions are particularly recommended for acute and chronic injuries, ensuring individuals receive focused attention. The club utilises a range of Pilates equipment, including Reformer, High Barrel, Wunda Chair, and traditional and modern equipment, to balance the body from head to toe. Along with providing physical benefits, Pilates is also highly recommended for injury rehabilitation, support during pregnancy and postnatal periods, and preparation for activities such as hiking, skiing, and marathons.
As a highly trained instructor with over 10,000 hours of training, Michele is passionate about movement and the body. Class sizes at Be Still & Chill are intentionally kept small, allowing for individual attention and support. Pilates provides numerous benefits, including improved mental and physical health, better posture and balance, increased flexibility and strength, and reduced tension. It also supports a deeper sleep through the boost of serotonin levels.
Additionally, Pilates helps increase bone density, muscle, joint strength, and stability, and exercises the brain by enhancing body awareness and coordination.
At Be Still & Chill, individuals are encouraged to prioritise self-care and embrace a holistic approach to their health and wellbeing. Whether it's through Pilates, remedial massage, or other treatments, members can find support and guidance from the dedicated team at the club.
