At Beta Park, bouldering is the main focus. Bouldering involves tackling short climbing routes, known as “boulders,” without the use of ropes. This means climbers can enjoy the freedom of movement without the hassle of ropes or the need for a climbing partner. The bouldering walls at Beta Park stand at 4.
5 metres tall and are covered with specially designed mats to ensure a safe landing for climbers.
With an eight-level difficulty system, Beta Park provides challenges for climbers of all skill levels. From beginners to elite climbers, each boulder is labelled with a number to indicate the level of difficulty. These boulders vary in focus, from strength to balance and coordination, offering diverse experiences for all climbers.
For those visiting Beta Park for the first time or climbing casually, single day passes are available. These passes give climbers access to the facility for the entire day. Additionally, 10-visit passes are offered for those who boulder semi-regularly but not frequently enough for a membership. These passes provide 10 climbs for the price of 9 and never expire.
Climbing specific shoes are required at Beta Park, and rental shoes are available for a small fee. Rental chalk can also be added to improve grip.
Beta Park also offers options for longer stays. A 7-day pass is available for climbers in town for a week who want to keep up their training plan without committing to a membership. For climbers who want to boulder frequently or all the time, a weekly membership is the best deal. This membership provides full access to the entire gym at Beta Park.
In addition to climbing, Beta Park welcomes dogs. As long as they are well-behaved and house-trained, dogs are allowed in the gym. Doggo beds, water bowls, and designated spots in the gym are provided. The gym also requests that climbers bring a leash and clean up after their dogs.
