Beth Howes welcomes you to join a Pilates community right here in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire. At her studio, Beth Howes Pilates, she brings you the original teachings of Joseph Pilates, developed back in the 1920s. This method, originally named Contrology, is all about six core principles: control, concentration, centring, flow, breath, and precision. By focusing on these, Pilates aims to boost both your mental and physical well-being.

Beth started her journey in January 2018, teaching Pilates at Pembrokeshire Pilates Studio and offering her own classes in the area. By December 2018, she had opened her classical studio in Haverfordwest, equipped with authentic Pilates apparatus from Pilates Design. Here, she provides one-on-one private sessions, duets, and group classes.

During lockdown, Beth kept her sessions going online, and she continues to offer this flexible option now that the studio has reopened.

Beth’s passion for Pilates began at 16, as a way to tackle joint problems from her love for ballet and sports. Pilates not only helped her strengthen her joints but also inspired her to train in Authentic Pilates. She completed an 18-month programme with The New York Pilates Studio, clocking over 600 hours of observing, teaching, and self-practise, supported by Classical Pilates UK and Pembrokeshire Pilates.

Beth is always looking to improve her skills and regularly attends workshops with renowned Pilates instructors to deepen her knowledge.
