Beverly Marks would like to share some exciting updates from the Beverly Marks Stage School (BMSS) located in Romford. Since its founding in 1981 by Beverly Fleet, this school has been dedicated to providing top-notch dance education for children and teenagers aged 3 to 20.
With over 40 years in the field, BMSS has grown alongside its students, regularly producing bi-annual shows and earning national acclaim through various dance competitions. Beverly is proud of the school’s ability to welcome dancers of all ages and abilities, ensuring each student receives personalised instruction and opportunities for growth.
BMSS offers a wide range of dance classes including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Street Dance, Commercial Dance, Lyrical, Contemporary, Acro, Singing & Musical Theatre. These classes are thoughtfully divided by age and skill level to provide a supportive learning environment.
For boys interested in dancing, specialised boys' classes are available across all styles, aiming to build camaraderie and provide a strong platform for male dancers. There are also classes for tots, designed to be a fun introduction to dance, and infants classes that lay a solid foundation, culminating in exciting summer shows.
As students advance to the junior level, exams become more prominent, and BMSS is pleased to report a 100% pass rate. These talented dancers also have the chance to take part in summer shows, enhancing their skills and stage presence. Teenagers at BMSS participate in two shows annually, compete nationally, and even enjoy the chance to perform abroad.
For the most advanced dancers, the senior level offers numerous opportunities to shine. These students compete in prestigious international competitions, receive college and audition training, and are well-prepared for professional dance careers.
BMSS also houses a street dance academy called "THE PLAN," run by Sam Fleet, a former student and professional dancer. This academy has earned significant accolades, including the Best Dance School in Europe 2009 at the BARCELONA GRAND PRIX. BMSS students have performed at renowned venues such as the World of Dance, Move It, Olympia, Disneyland Paris, and the Barcelona Grand Prix. They’ve even appeared on Alesha Dixon's “Street Dance Stars.”
