Every Saturday at Birchwood Colts' training ground, Sam and the team run sessions focusing on the core skills of football—dribbling, passing, and shooting. These sessions aren’t just about the game; they’re about developing coordination, balance, and agility through engaging drills and exercises. Sam ensures that teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play are at the heart of every drill.

The Mini Colts and Mini Tots programmes are held on specific days and times, creating a structured yet fun environment for young players. Sam and the coaches at Birchwood Colts are all trained and qualified to work with children, providing a safe and inclusive space for everyone to enjoy football.

Understanding that passion for football shouldn't be limited by financial constraints, Sam has introduced the Birchwood Boots Scheme. This program provides donated football boots to members in need, ensuring that no child is left on the sidelines due to a lack of equipment.

This year, Birchwood Colts is dedicating its efforts to supporting St Barnabas Hospice as their Charity of the Year. Sam encourages donations through the club's website, knowing that every pound makes a difference in the lives of those in the Lincolnshire community.

In partnership with Kitz4Kidz, Birchwood Colts also extends its reach globally by donating second-hand kits to children in deprived areas, including Ghana. Sam believes in the power of football to bring joy and valuable life skills to children everywhere.
