Jessica McKenna is excited to share about Bliss Pregnancy Yoga, her passion project in Norwich, Norfolk. Understanding the importance of wellness during pregnancy, Jessica has over 12 years of experience teaching yoga, aiming to provide expecting mums with the tools and techniques for a positive birthing experience.
Classes led by Jessica at Bliss Pregnancy Yoga focus on preparing women for childbirth. She teaches breathing techniques to help manage surges more efficiently and release endorphins. There are also physical benefits from these classes such as increased muscle tone, better posture to ease back pain, improved circulation, reduced swelling, and greater flexibility for adapting during birth.
Relaxation and visualisation techniques are a key part of Jessica's sessions, designed to create a gentle birthing journey for both mother and baby, regardless of the birthing path chosen. These weekly classes are also an opportunity for expectant mums to connect with each other and receive Jessica's support and guidance.
Classes take place every Wednesday from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at the Sprowston Diamond Centre in Norwich. A 6-week course costs £55, including six 60-minute sessions. Note that missed sessions can’t be transferred or refunded unless arranged before booking.
Additionally, Jessica runs a Birth Preparation Workshop for those seeking more support. This workshop equips birth partners with techniques to assist during labour, including guidance, massage, and breathing exercises. Priced at £60 per couple, those who book six pregnancy yoga sessions get a £10 discount on the workshop.
Jessica is registered with Yoga Alliance Professionals, ensuring her adherence to high teaching standards. Bliss Pregnancy Yoga Norwich offers antenatal yoga classes, providing a safe, nurturing environment for pregnant women in Norwich.
