Bookham Riding Club

Bookham Riding Club, led by Sarah Collins, is a BHS affiliated riding club based in Leatherhead, Surrey. The club is committed to fostering a supportive and enjoyable environment for riders of all abilities. With a diverse roster of events and training programmes year-round, riders at every level can find valuable opportunities to hone their skills.

Sarah Collins has organised an array of events including show jumping, dressage, gymkhana, and trec, alongside social gatherings. Regular clinics focused on jumping and flatwork are also available, designed to help riders improve their competencies. While most events are open to the public, club members benefit from reduced entry fees and exclusive access to certain activities.

Bookham Riding Club is distinguished as a member of British Riding Clubs Area 11 and regularly fields junior and senior teams for local and national competitions. The club is dedicated to promoting friendly competition and building camaraderie among its members.

Upcoming events include a Lateral & Polework clinic with Camilla James & Denise Vertigen at Merrist Wood on 29th December, a Members Show Jumping Exercises Clinic with Ruth Starey on 4th February, and a Poles and SJ Gridwork clinic with Euan Forbes on 18th February. Additionally, the Annual General Meeting and social event is scheduled for 20th February.

To join Bookham Riding Club and participate in its events and clinics, registration is available through their website. Membership includes BHS membership and insurance, along with complimentary club field bookings. The club also offers branded merchandise through Super XC.
