When the Abbey Lawn site became available, the club saw a golden chance to relocate and establish a new home, moving from the artificial green that now serves as the car park of the Bourne Academy.

The club features a meticulously maintained green with six to seven rinks, thanks to their devoted greenkeeper. From mid-April to the end of September, members can engage in a rich programme of matches and competitions. Bourne Town Bowls Club also participates in the Stamford, Spalding, and Peterborough leagues.

Mark also points out that aside from league play, the club organises regular fun bowling days and social events. The eventual formation of the Bourne Abbey Lawn Bowling Club, which thrived for over 60 years before having to close, led to the creation of Bourne Town Bowls Club. This new club became a home for displaced members, keeping their passion for lawn bowls alive.
