At Bowdon Dance Academy, our teachers are fully qualified and former professional dancers themselves. Patricia Parkinson, also known as Mrs. P, has over 40 years of teaching experience. She trained at the Arts Educational and has had a varied career in dance.
Mrs. P believes that dance is not just about the talented pupils, but also about building confidence, teaching children about imagination and music. She finds it rewarding to see a child develop their skills and express the musicality of dance.
Another highly experienced teacher at Bowdon Dance Academy is Miss Katrina. She has a wealth of experience in teaching and dancing at a professional level, having worked in West End productions and ballets. Miss Katrina specialises in technique and training students to increase their dance capabilities. She believes that dance should be enjoyable for everyone, and it is important for each student to learn in a way that is personal to them.
Encouraging pupils and inspiring them is a vital part of her teaching practise.
In addition to our qualified teachers, we also have student teacher Ellia Rhodes, who has been assisting in dance teaching for over 2 years. Ellia is a warm and encouraging dancer, loved by our students, especially the younger ones.
